VTV.vn - Deputies of the National Assembly (NA) have agreed that the pilot scheme to issue e-visas to foreigners should continue, beginning in February 2019.

Legislators held a discussion on November 5, on whether to extend the NA's Resolution 30/2016 on the pilot issuance of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam.

To be eligible for an e-visa, applicants must be citizens of countries that have diplomatic relations with Vietnam and pose no threat to the nation's defense, security, and social stability. Visitors with e-visas can enter the country at any of Vietnam's eight international airports.

They can also arrive by land at 13 international border gates and by sea at seven ports around the country.
