NA Deputies call for more improvements to law making - The Law and Ordinance making programme was one of the major discussions at the National Assembly during its Friday's sitting.

A number of National Assembly deputies have called for more improvements to law making, in addition to previous innovations, to overcome long standing limitations.

Many deputies agreed the agencies in charge of drafting and examining the programme have been more responsible and have cooperated more effectively.

There remain some inadequacies during the establishment of the law making programme. The submission of some projects to the programmes have been delayed, and some have been withdrawn. In some cases, attention has not been given to identifying conflicting and overlapping legal provisions, or to proposing amendments immediately in the drafting process.
