In Thanh Hoa Province, Politburo member and Chairman of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army Luong Cuong joined NA candidates to meet with voters in constituency No. 2, including Bim Son Town and the districts of Ha Trung, Nga Son, Hau Loc, Vinh Loc and Thach Thanh.
After being briefed on the five candidates’ biographies as well as their action programmes if elected to the legislature, local voters expected the candidates to effectively what they have pledged and make important contributions to socio-economic development.
They asked the candidates to propose that the NA and Government pay greater care to developing the maritime economy, while continuing to issue mechanisms to support the building of new-style rural areas, solidify coastal dikes and assist rural development.
On behalf of the NA candidates, General Luong Cuong vowed to materialise their action programmes by the year and throughout the whole tenure, and to come up with solutions contributing to the development of the country and Thanh Hoa Province. He welcomed the voters’ opinions and promised to reflect on the issues under his authority, expressing his belief that Thanh Hoa voters and authorities will successfully organise the upcoming elections ensuring safety, publicity, democracy and accordance with the law.
* On Tuesday, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and the NA candidates of the city’s constituency No. 4 (Hoang Mai and Gia Lam districts) met with local voters via video conference.

Presenting his action programme, Dung affirmed that if elected he would uphold the sense of responsibility and maintain absolute loyalty to the Party, the country and the people, while pledging to strengthen direction to create strong transformations in administrative reform, build a favourable business climate, improve the city’s competitiveness, and boost local socio-economic development.
In addition, he will work to develop a contingent of cadres and Party members highlighting example setting, especially among the leaders; to drastically implement measures to improve the quality of life for locals and reduce the living standard gap between urban and rural areas; as well as to effectively and comprehensively realise tasks across fields to promote Hanoi’s rapid and sustainable development.
* From May 9 to 11, Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office Le Minh Hung and NA candidates in Ha Tinh Province held meetings with local voters, during which they pledged, if elected, to work hard and wholeheartedly to serve the nation and people, while regularly meeting and listening to voters’ opinions and aspirations for timely handling.
* Hai Phong City and Tien Giang Province have also organised virtual meetings between the NA candidates and local voters.
Voters were briefed on the candidates’ action programmes if elected to the 15th legislature, expressing the hopes that the candidates would work hard to convert their action plans into reality, thus deserving the people’s trust and confidence.
* On May 11, the steering committee for the election of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils in Lang Son Province held a conference to grasp central directions on the election work.
* From May 11 to 20, the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Giang Province are conducting online meetings with local voters for the candidates running for seats in the 15th NA and the province’s all-level People’s Councils.
