Nguyen Thien Dao, born in 1940 in Ha Dong (Hanoi), was a Vietnamese-French composer. At the age of 13, he moved to France under the custody of Paul Levy – Former President of École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO). He was a student of National Conservatory of Paris and graduated from Composing Department.
Nguyen Thien Dao was listed in Le Petit Larousse in 1982 and Le Petit Robert in 1995 and achieved various awards for both Vietnam and France. He followed contemporary music while researching Vietnam Traditional Music.
During his career, Nguyen Thien Dao had composed over 80 works including solo, symphony, opera, etc. and performed over the world. His music praised true men, justice, peace and life.
His notable works include Binh Minh (Dawn), My Chau Trong Thuy, Phu Dong and soundtracks for Chuyen Cua Pao and De Che Lui Tan, etc.
