The show highlights the bravery, intellect, and spirit of soldiers in peacetime and affirms the emotional power of music in honoring and continuing national traditions. Every melody conveys a heartfelt message of love for the homeland, inter-generational bonding, and a belief in the future shaped by the hands and hearts of today’s youth.
Each 45-minute episode will take six players and television audiences on a journey to discover iconic songs connected to the youth of a generation. On stage, each participant, story, and note contributes to a “Youth Symphony” of songs that may be tied to historical milestones of the Vietnam People’s Army, patriotic music and melodies that foster national pride across generations.

The participating teams comprise well-known artists, influential content creators, former soldiers, youth volunteers, senior citizens, university students, high school students, and working adults. They all share a love of music and singing and an interest in learning about Vietnamese history. They also all have a family member who served in the military and are ready to share their story, “Our family has a soldier”.

The show consists of three segments: Green Notes, Melodies of Youth, and Green Harmony.
Green Notes is the opening segment of the show, designed to warm up contestants and allow them to get acquainted before selecting a partner to accompany them on their journey to find the “Youthful Melody”.
Melodies of Youth: In this segment, contestants search for the first three notes of the “Youthful Melody.” Each correct answer reveals one note on the staff (up to three notes). A large music box is placed on stage, and the host winds it and opens the box to reveal the melodies of three timeless songs. Each song has three data clues, and any team may ring the bell to answer the question. An incorrect answer results in losing the right to continue answering that song.
According to the production team, one of the highlights of Season 2 of Green Leaves is the newly arranged performances in “Melodies of Youth,” which blend traditional and modern styles with meticulous staging.
Green Harmony: Contestants search for the remaining four notes of the “Youthful Melody.” Each artifact, item, video, or featured guest represents one question and one data clue for all three teams. Each correct answer reveals one additional note on the staff. After answering four questions correctly, all seven notes will be revealed, and the teams must ring the bell to identify the “Youthful Melody” mentioned throughout the show.
Green Leaves Season 2 will air at 10:00 AM every Saturday starting from January 3, 2026, on VTV3.
