VTV.vn - After 3 days of calling for blood donations, blood type O reserves at the Ha Noi-based National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion have increased from 1300 to over 2100 blood units, a 7.3% rise.

Previously on January 4th, the institute called on people to donate blood as it was in dire need of blood type O, with blood units only enough for hospitals in the northern region for 2 days. In response, hundreds of Hanoi residents went to the institute to donate their blood. However, blood type O is still in shortage even in Thanh Hoá Province. The National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, and Hồ Chí Minh City Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion are still calling for more donations of blood type O. Donors can go to the hospital between 8am to 8pm everyday to donate blood.
