The occupancy rate in hotels is currently down more than 91% year-on-year. Facing this situation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has worked out two scenarios to support businesses.
In case the epidemic is controlled in September, the Department of Tourism of the city will continue to implement a domestic tourism stimulus program on the basis of linking tour operators, hotels and tourist attractions to have new, attractive, safe and competitive products.
In case the pandemic lasts until the end of the year, in addition to the above solutions, the city will focus on supporting businesses to restructure, reorient the market and build new products. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also recommends that the Government delay or reduce the payment of personal income tax, value-added tax for 6-12 months, reduce electricity, water and fees, internet service for travel enterprises.
