More than 3,000 entries submitted to national press award on NA, People’s Councils

VTV.vn - More than 3,000 entries have been sent to the first Dien Hong Award – the national press award on the NA and People’s Councils, as announced by the award’s council at a meeting on May 8.

The entries have been classified in different categories and groups for assessment.

The jury board for the award includes the jury for the preliminary round, headed by Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper Dinh Nhu Hoan, and the jury of the final round, headed by Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Chairman of Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh.

The award’s winners of the contest will be honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 9.

As scheduled, the jury of preliminary round will start working on May 10 to select of entries with high quality and value for the final round.

Speaking at the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh emphasised that submissions advancing to the final round will be thoroughly judged in order to determine the outstanding winners.

He expressed his belief that the Dien Hong award will be a great success thanks to the close attention and direction of the National Assembly leaders, the sound consultation of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the experience, enthusiasm, and active participation of the members of the judges.
