At 19 domestic airports, the total number of flights also rose by 9% year on year. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, domestic airlines registered 3,650 additional flights, resulting in the total number of seats reaching 5.5 million from January 20th to February 19th. The busiest air routes are between Ho Chi Minh City and the cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, Vinh City, Thanh Hóa Province, and Huế. The Ministry of Transport estimated that nearly 1.8 million air seats are still available for the Lunar New Year. However, seats for flights from Ho Chi Minh City to other localities are mostly full. The busiest days are likely to fall on the 2nd and 10th of February.
