This year Monsoon Music Festival is about promoting community awareness over the need for environmental protection. The festival year features both international and Vietnamese artists.
"Besides youngsters, the festival also attracted adults. And those who rarely listen to Vietnamese music would change attitude about it. It’s also a good chance for Vietnamese artists to learn from foreign artists", said Trung Quan.
"Monsoon Festival is a place for real artist and real music. No need to PR, the true art will reach the people’s hearts", said Toc Tien.
The international acts proved massively popular with the Hanoi crowd. A highlight of this year event is British soul singer Joss Stone, a Grammy Award winner the Australian synth-classical Bond. Their performances are expected to enthral audiences over the four-day event. The festival will run until October 11th.
