Mekong Delta provinces strengthen pandemic prevention and control

VTV.vn - The Mekong Delta region remains a hot spot for the Covid-19 pandemic in the whole country. The number of new cases continues to increase every day.

Faced with this situation, provinces in the region are urgently strengthening pandemic prevention measures.

The city of Can Tho is launching additional inspection activities, especially for food and beverage businesses, wet markets, supermarkets, and commercial centers. The city is also recruiting 500 doctors and 1,000 telemedicine volunteers to help take care of F0s.

Soc Trang province on December 2 recorded 775 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 18,726 people. As such, Soc Trang has upgraded the pandemic level from level 2 to level 3 and restricted people from going out at night. It is expected that after December 15, people aged 12 and over who have not been vaccinated will not be able to participate in community activities, go to public places, or leave their residential areas./.
