At the meeting, held by the Hanoi authorities yesterday afternoon, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the victory of the first general election has opened a new era in the history of the development of political institutions in the country, forming the basis for building a rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people.
During the Doi Moi (renovation) period, the NA has focused on promoting and renewing its organisation and operation, making a positive contribution to the success of the Doi Moi.
In activities of the NA, over 400 NA deputies from Hanoi have played a significant part, Hue said, hailing them for fulfilling their responsibilities and obligations to the voters.
He also he expressed his wish that Hanoi NA deputies to continue to join hands in building a civilised and modern capital city, as well as building the Vietnamese NA worthy of being an agency representing the will and aspirations of the Vietnamese people.
* On the same day, Vinh Phuc Provincial NA Deputy Delegation held a meeting to mark the 75th anniversary of the NA’s first election and review the delegation’s operation for the 2016-2021 tenure.
Recognising and highly appreciating the contributions of the delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung affirmed that the contributions of the delegation and local voters have helped significantly in the Government’s institutional and policy improvements to serve the general development of the country.
He suggested that the provincial NA’s deputy delegation continue to innovate and improve the quality of operations, in which, focusing on synchronous development of the infrastructure system, restructuring agriculture to create competitive products, and exploiting the advantages of commerce, service and tourism, as well as paying attention to socio-cultural development, taking care of policy beneficiaries, and gradually improving the quality of people's material and spiritual lives.
* Also, on January 5, NA’s deputy delegations of Hai Phong City and the two provinces of Thai Binh and Dak Lak also gathered to mark the 75th anniversary of the NA’s first election.
* On the same day, at the National Assembly House, the Party Committee of the NA Office held a conference to review its operation in 2020 and launch new tasks for 2021.
