Speaking at the end of the Government's regular February meeting on March 3, PM Phuc urged authorities and sectors at all levels to closely follow the Government's guidelines in taking precautions without being pessimistic and while striving to both control the epidemic and promote economic growth.
Many enterprises are facing a shortage of materials, while unfavorable weather conditions such as drought and hailstorms in northern provinces continue to cause difficulties for production and people's daily lives.
To overcome these difficulties, PM Phuc urged ministries and agencies to come up with specific solutions and tasks to help sectors that have been hit hard by COVID-19, particularly trade, finance, services, and import-export. He also required the immediate implementation of credit support packages worth at least 30 trillion VND (nearly 1.3 billion USD) to be used to support enterprises and the people.
