Marxist Communist Party of India's political influence praised

At a reception for CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on December 9, Ngan said the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) is implementing resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and pursuing the policy of diversifying international relations and proactively integrating into the world.

Mr Yechury said he believes that Ngan’s visit to India will contribute to the close bonding between the two countries and Parties. He reiterated his party treasures the cooperative ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Regarding the East Sea issue, General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said India supports negotiations and the settlement of disputes through peaceful measures in the basis of respect for international law.

The same day the Vietnamese NA leader laid a wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi Monument on Friday, paying tribute to the great leader of India.

 

The top legislator wrote in the memorial book “The Vietnamese people admire the great career of Mahatma Gandhi, a preeminent leader of the Indian people, an undaunted fighter for national liberation movements all over the world. His ideals, thought, and soul are an eternal symbol and an endless inspiration for the people of India, Vietnam, and the rest of the world.”

Later,  Ngan visited India’s parliament building, attended a meeting of the Indian Lower House and Senate, and visited the parliament museum.

NA Chairwoman Ngan is on an official visit to India at the invitation of Senate President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and Speaker of the Lower House Sumitra Mahajan.
