At 11 o'clock local time, the storm’s eye was in the Northeastern part of the East Sea. Its intensity has lowered to level 15 and its winds have reached level 17. By 10am on September 17th, the storm’s eye will be 80 km North of Móng Cái district, Quảng Ninh province.
There the wind level will continue to fall to level 11. The storm will go further inland and will weaken into a tropical depression in the Northwest of Vietnam. The danger zone in the East Sea for the next 24 hours is at 15 degrees north latitude and 111.5 east longitude.
