Malta takes migrants rescued by Spanish fishermen

The migrants were transferred from the Nuestra Madre de Loreto to a Maltese patrol boat, and arrived in Valletta harbor at 1 pm.

The Maltese government announced that the migrants will be relocated to Spain after a medical assessment. Malta had agreed to take them in amid worsening sea conditions. UN migrant agency raised 'alarm' as migrant deaths on crossing to Spain triple on November 23.
