According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in the span of 9 days of the Tet holiday, the sector recorded more than 6 million domestic tourists, while the number of international visitors welcomed under the Passport Vaccine Pilot Programme reached 9,000.
Accommodations in a number of localities such as Lào Cai, Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, and Phú Quốc were fully booked during Tet.
According to Kiên Giang Province’s Department of Tourism, by the end of the February 4, the city of Phú Quốc alone had welcomed about 70,000 visitors, with most hotels and resorts being fully booked. In Đồng Tháp Province, Sa Đéc flower village and Tràm Chim National Park attracted more than 75,000 visitors during Tet. As of February 6, Vũng Tàu City had also welcomed more than 204,000 visitors.
