The Da Nang City Election Council held a meeting on April 26 to prepare for the People's Council election for the 2021-2026 term.
In the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the council asked sectors and local authorities to stay ready to implement pandemic prevention and control measures during the election.
In the case of recording any COVID-19 case or facing a new COVID-19 outbreak in the community in which social distancing is implemented, voters will not be allowed to cast their ballots at polling places; local authorities will come to the voters’ houses to collect their ballots.
In Quang Ngai Province, a dialogue was recently held between youth union members and leaders of Tu Nghia District’s election council to popularise information and regulations of the national election to local youth.
The Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union has implemented a wide range of communications activities regarding the upcoming general elections for youth in the province.
Accordingly, a poster design contest, a painting competition, a video clip making contest, and a knowledge contest have been held for local youth union members to study current regulations on elections of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils.
Meanwhile, an online contest is being organised on Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/tuoitrequangbinh to increase youth’s understanding of their rights during the elections and raise their awareness of the significance of the elections.
