According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, many additional houses have been built and handed over to the poor, particularly those living in disadvantaged areas.
In Ha Tinh province, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard High Command, the provincial State Treasury, the local Department of Finance, and the Department of Education and Training to provide financial support for the building of new rural areas in Huong Lien border commune, Huong Khe district.
The sponsors set a target that by the end of this year, the commune will be recognised as a new-style rural area. To realise this target, the whole commune has mobilised available resources to implement many practical activities, such as upgrading the traffic system, renovating the landscape, and supporting livestock.
The Dien Bien provincial Fatherland Front Committee in coordination with relevant agencies and the authorities of Sa Tong Commune held a ceremony to commence the construction of a 410-million-VND elementary boarding school for ethnic students in Sa Tong commune, Muong Cha district.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, a representative of Binh Nguyen Charity Fund - the sponsor of the project, expressed the pleasure to join the project, which aims to help students study in a new and more spacious place, contributing to motivating teachers and students in teaching and learning.

The Phu Yen provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported that the mobilisation of financial support to repair and construct houses for poor households has been implemented effectively, contributing to supporting the poor to overcome difficulties.
Notably, the Fatherland Front of Tay Hoa district has mobilised 460 million VND to construct 11 social houses and upgrade one old one, while nearly 100 million VND has been raised to build two social houses in Song Hinh district.
Leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that Fatherland Front’s chapters at all levels have actively popularised the purpose and meaning of the movement on building social houses among the public to inspire the strength of the whole political system and people from all walks of life.
In Ha Giang province, the Steering Committee on building social houses for national contributors, poor war veterans, and poor households in the Vi Xuyen district, recently announced funding for the construction of new houses for disadvantaged families.
At the ceremony, leaders of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Vi Xuyen district’s authorities, and representatives from Viettel Group’s branch in Ha Giang delivered 1.2 billion VND for the construction of 20 houses in 20 communes in Vi Xuyen district.
In 2021, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Fund for the Poor joined hands with relevant agencies and benefactors to hand over as many as 634 social houses worth nearly 50 billion VND in total for local poor households. The Fund also raised an additional 440 million VND to repair 11 downgraded houses for poor ethnic minority families.
In 2022, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee target to mobilise more than 68 billion VND to build 857 houses for disadvantaged people throughout the locality.
Joining hands for the poor is now not only a slogan but has become a regular movement that received great attention and enthusiastic participation from localities, organisations and individuals throughout the country, contributing to supporting poor people to overcome difficulties and succeed in their lives.
