The special art program “A Peaceful Nation” will be broadcast live at 20:00 on May 2 on VTV1 and VTV8. Directed by director Tuan Le, it will unfold in a grand outdoor performance space along the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge on the Han River in Da Nang. Audiences will be taken on a journey through the heroic yet quiet chapters of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Force's history. A combination of theatrical staging and multimedia art vividly portrays the image of the officer defined by “courage, vigilance, and dedication to the people” , using archival materials and carefully staged scenes.
A highlight of the program is the reenactment of intense intelligence operations carried out deep behind enemy lines. Viewers will witness the unwavering resolve of heroine Ngo Thi Hue during brutal interrogation, and the ingenuity of intelligence agent Mai Thi Luan, renowned for her secret missions at the legendary K20 base. These silent sacrifices played a crucial role in protecting the fledgling revolutionary government in its earliest days.

The program then shifts focus to the security force's present-day missions. Today’s battlefield is not only physical, but also digital, from cyber security operations to efforts at sea to address IUU “yellow card” issues, safeguard sovereignty, and support sustainable economic development. The peace we enjoy today is not only built by armed forces, but also by strong public support.
A striking visual moment occurs when the sacred flame of tradition is passed from one generation to the next on the outdoor stage. This flame, combined with the iconic fire display of Dragon Bridge, symbolizes the vitality and growth of the People’s Public Security force in a new era.
Featuring artists such as My Tam, Vo Ha Tram, Duong Hoang Yen, and Dong Hung, under the musical direction of Hoai Sa, the program presents timeless songs including Nam quoc son ha, Hao khi Viet Nam, To quoc trong anh mat troi, and Noi vong tay lon.
A Peaceful Nation is a heartfelt tribute to past generations and conveys a message of patriotism and national pride.
