This national-level political and artistic event is directed by the Central Military Commission and hosted by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, in coordination with with local authorities. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), this programme is not just a television, but an epic artistic declaration of patriotism and the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Under the Glorious Flag is a political-artistic epic — a declaration of patriotism, the aspiration for peace, and the Vietnamese spirit throughout the nation’s history of building and defending the country, expressed through emotion and imagery. The program consists of three live broadcast locations representing the three regions of Vietnam: Hanoi, the capital, steeped in a thousand years of culture; Hue, the ancient capital and a treasure trove of traditional heritage; and Ho Chi Minh City, vibrant and youthful, and named after Uncle Ho. These three locations represent the pulse of one nation, from the peace of everyday life to the intensity of wartime, from a mother’s lullaby to a soldier’s oath on the battlefield, and to the unwavering faith under the glorious flag.

The program pays profound tribute to the generations of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army who have sacrificed their lives for their country's independence and freedom of the Fatherland and , and for the happiness of its people. Under the nation’s glorious flag, the army has always been the vanguard force, a steadfast fortress, a sharp sword, and a solid source of trust for the Party, the nation, and the people. The program also sends a message to the younger generation about responsibility, faith, and the aspiration to contribute; affirming the spirit: “Under the glorious flag, we are one: one nation, one belief, one will, one aspiration for the future”.
Colonel Pham Van Tu, Director of the Army Radio and Television Center, shared: “The title of the program Under the Glorious Flag carries deep meaning. It reflects the iron will and determination of the entire nation in the cause of building and defending the country. At the same time, it depicts the spirit of the Vietnamese soldier — loyal, dedicated, and ready to sacrifice themselves for their people and their nation. Throughout 80 years of history, our army has always advanced firmly, with the national flag as its anchor and eternal source of faith”.

Under the Glorious Flag promises a stunning audio-visual experience, combining expressive artistry with cutting-edge stage technology. Audience members will enjoy impressive performances enhanced by LED visuals, holograms, AR, and meticulously designed lighting and sound systems.
Timeless patriotic songs will be given a “new lease of life” through performances by leading artists, blending symphonic music with pop, rock, rap, and contemporary dance to create a multi-layered artistic space that links the past, present, and future. The goal is to offer a program that allows audiences to truly live in history and feel the pride of the nation.
The program will feature many renowned artists at all three live broadcast locations, including People’s Artist Ta Minh Tam, Thanh Duy, Suboi, Duy Khanh, Kieu Anh, Quang Linh, Khanh Linh, Anh Tu, Vu Thang Loi, Duong Hoang Yen, and the OPlus Band.
