The commemoration event for 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong – Hero City (May 13, 1955 – May 13, 2025) and the art program "Hai Phong – 70 Years of Trust and Aspiration" launching the Red Flamboyant Festival 2025 will take place at the Political-Administrative Center Square in the new urban area of Bac Song Cam (Thuy Nguyen City, Hai Phong).
Held at the municipal level, this year’s Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2025 will celebrate the historic 70-year milestone of the city's liberation and the anticipated conferral of the honorary title "Hero City". The event will feature many innovations exclusive to this year’s edition.

The art program will incorporate advanced technology, including 3D mapping on real-life scenes to create mesmerizing visual transformations of Hai Phong’s natural landmarks. For the first time, the show will employ semi-classical symphonic music as an emotional thread to guide audiences on a cinematic journey through 70 years of Hai Phong's past and future. Seamlessly told, the story paints a panoramic and vivid picture of the city’s cultural heritage, resilient spirit, and aspirations.
To add to the fanfare of the celebration, there will be fireworks at six locations, each equipped with large LED screens (100m²), as well as sound and lighting systems, allowing those unable to attend in person to enjoy the festivities. Of the more than 10 songs featured in the opening show, two-thirds will be timeless pieces about Hai Phong. The performing artists and actors are all Hai Phong natives who have received national and international acclaim. They promise to deliver an unforgettable celebration of the city’s identity and pride.
