In celebration of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the special art program “Ho Chi Minh: A Name That Shines Forever” will be held at 8:00 PM on May 19 at the Xu Dong Cultural Center Square. The program promises to create a grand and meaningful artistic space that inspires national pride and attracts large numbers of residents and visitors.

The program is carefully crafted and meticulously staged in terms of both content and presentation. Divided into three distinct chapters, it fully portrays the life, great legacy, and enduring aspirations inspired by President Ho Chi Minh, as well as the nation’s development journey. Chapter I, titled “The Song of Ho Chi Minh” opens the evening and brings audiences back to sacred melodies praising Uncle Ho’s love for the homeland. Performances such as Dau chan phia truoc (Footprints Ahead), Mua Huong Sen (The Season of Lotus Fragrance), Ca ngoi Ho Chu tich (Praising President Ho Chi Minh), and Nguoi la niem tin tat thang (He is the unwavering belief in ultimate victory).
Chapter II, “Uncle Ho - The One Who Gave Us Everything”, continues the emotional journey by honoring the immense contributions of the beloved leader and inspiring responsibility toward the nation. This chapter features through emotional and epic performances, including Bac Ho mot tinh yeu bao la (Uncle Ho, a Boundless Love), Thua Dang (Dear Party), Nguoi la Ho Chi Minh (He is Ho Chi Minh), and a special performance by the Hai Phong Youth Cultural Center.

Chapter III, titled “A New Rising Era” bursts with themes of innovation, creativity, and integration. It features a special Hai Phong-style cheo performance, combined with energetic songs such as A New Hai Phong, My Homeland Port, One Circle of Vietnam, and a powerful closing mashup featuring Duong chung ta di (The path we walk) - Noi vong tay lon (In the embrace of great arms) - Vinh Quang trong ta (Glory within us).
The appeal of “Ho Chi Minh: A Name That Shines Forever” lies not only in its large-scale production but also in the gathering of its talented singers, performers, and artists. The program features veteran performers such as Meritorious Artists Hong Tuoi, Hanh Bay, and Duc Thien, as well as younger artists, such as singers Mai Hang, Dat Ozy, Quang Phuc, Quang Sep, Thu Hue, and Van Sen.
The program is expected to create a spectacular audio-visual experience filled with emotion through its harmonious blend of traditional melodies deeply rooted in Vietnamese cultural identity, performed by artists from the Xu Dong Cheo Theater, together with modern choreography from Diamond Dance Group and Lavish Dance Group.
