VTV.vn - Vietnam’s animal husbandry is facing challenges in livestock feed management, the use of antibiotics and slaughter hygiene.

To tackle these issues, the Livestock Competitiveness and Food Safety Project (Lifsap) funded by the World Bank has provided support for farmers in Hai Phong City.

Ever since Lifsap was implemented in 2010, Hai Phong has built 6 safe husbandry zones on VietGap standards, with more than 2,000 participating households and 4 cooperatives. Lifsap has also upgraded 31 markets in food safety, supported the establishment of 5 locations that sell safe agro produce, and promoted the farm-to-table model.
