VTV.vn - Third-placed Leicester City suffered a frustrating night on the south coast as they were held to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League by a Southampton side who played almost the entire match with 10 men on Friday.

In the end Leicester needed a 68th-minute Jonny Evans header to salvage a point after a gritty Southampton side had taken a surprise lead via a James Ward-Prowse penalty.

* England and Northern Ireland have been drawn in the same qualifying group for the 2023 Women's World Cup, with the reigning European champions, Netherlands, to face Iceland. The European qualifying draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.

* Ajax Amsterdam have extended coach Erik ten Hag's contract until June 2023, the club confirmed on Friday (Apr 30), after British media reported he was on Tottenham Hotspur's shortlist of potential replacements for Jose Mourinho.

* Cameron Norrie (UK) rallied to upset No. 2 seed Cristian Garin of Chile in three sets Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Millennium Estoril Open in Portugal. Norrie completed the 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 comeback in two hours and 28 minutes, picking up his fifth win this season over an opponent ranked in the Top 30.

* Tournament debutants Istiqlol on Friday (Apr 30) became the first club from Tajikistan to qualify for the Asian Champions League last 16 despite suffering a 2-1 defeat to Uzbekistan's AGMK. The Dushanbe-based Istiqlol finished on 10 points from six matches to top Group A on a better head-to-head-record with Saudi giants Al Hilal, who also advanced as one of the three best second-placed teams after a 2-0 defeat by Shabab Al Ahli of the UAE.

* Valtteri Bottas put Mercedes on top in first practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix on Friday with the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez close behind. The Finn bounced back from a big collision at Imola on April 18 to clock a best lap of one minute 19.648 seconds on soft tyres with his rebuilt car.

* Paris St Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will not play in Saturday's Ligue 1 game against Lens due to a calf injury, the French club said on Friday (Apr 30), raising doubts over his availability for their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City. PSG trail City 2-1 after the first leg in Paris and Mauricio Pochettino's side will travel to Manchester for Tuesday's second leg.

* World champion Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time in second practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix on Friday (Apr 30) before heading off the social media grid to protest online abuse. The British driver clocked 1min 19.837sec in the Mercedes to edge out Red Bull's Max Verstappen on 1min 19.980sec with Valtteri Bottas, in the second Mercedes, in third on 1min 20.181sec.
