The series of concerts is part of the Sofitel Fête de la musique music celebration.
Particularly, Henry Padovani will perform at Thang Long Hall, the largest of the hotel reception rooms, on Saturday June 23 from 8:00 p.m.
The 90-minute concert will consist of Padovani’s own compositions, in French and English, and include a number of blues and classic rock songs and stories of his personal experiences with some of the most famous and revered names in music. The ticket price is VND290,000 per person.
From June 19 to 22, he will perform at Le Club Bar overlooking the beautiful hotel garden courtyard from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Originally from Corsica, Padovani formed The Police in 1976 with Sting and Stewart Copeland as the original guitarist, before going on to perform with a number of other top artists.
In 1980, Padovani formed his own group, The Flying Padovanis, while at the same time managing Europe’s biggest solo act, Zucchero, who went on to sell more than 15 million albums worldwide.
The musician became a lead judge on the French version of the ever popular TV show, The X Factor in 2011.
Meanwhile, Padovani started work on another exciting new project, a tour of the best and most exclusive venues in the world with Fly Like A Song, featuring acoustic, guitar and vocals.
