On the same day, Vuong, who is permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, visited and presented Tet gifts to officials and soldiers of the Duc Long border guard station, and the Party committee, authorities and people of Duc Long commune.
The leader expressed his delight to see the positive changes in the lives of Duc Long people, as well as at Duc Long being recognised as a new-style rural commune.
He also praised the Duc Long border guard station for overcoming their difficulties in safeguarding national border sovereignty, building a borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development, and actively helping local residents develop the economy and increase income.
Vuong encouraged the Duc Long people to continue to stay united and exert efforts to develop the homeland and build new-style rural areas.

The Border Guard High Command presented 10 cows worthy VND150 million to 10 poor households in Duc Long, while granting scholarships to seven local students.
