Law on legal aid debated

At the National Assembly Standing Committee meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday, lawmakers recommended that all people entitled to legal aid should be included in the law to ensure civic rights. Representatives from investigative agencies asked the government to clarify who would benefit from legal aid over the past years, as well as ways and locations for providing legal aid. Deputies also focused on the need to review practical demands, anticipate the resources for law enforcement in accordance with the country's socio-economic situation, and ensure the feasibility of the regulations.
