Landslides threaten Ha Tinh residents

Along Ngan Truoi river, La River and Ngan Sau River, floods have swept away hundreds of hectares of land. Houses and buildings are also being threatened. According to the Steering Committee for Flood Prevention and Rescue in Ha Tinh province, there are about 130km of riverbank landslides in the region. This has threatened 1000 households in the area. Moreover, the cost of preventing landslides may amount to more than 6.6 million USD, beyond the capacity of the locality.
