The eighth Dalat Flower Festival will feature 13 major events including the opening ceremony at Lam Vien Square, an international flower and bonsai exhibition, a flower fair, a Vietnam-Korea culture and art exchange program, and a seminar on architectural heritage of Dalat. There will also be a tea and silk week and a fashion show of silk designs in Bao Loc City.
Particularly, the flower display area around Xuan Huong Lake will feature a different type of flower on each day of the five-day festival, including rose, lily, lisianthus, daisy, and orchid.
The biennial Dalat Flower Festival normally takes place in December, the peak flower season in the city, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
The festival showcases and promotes colorful flowers grown locally, flower villages, cultural identity, and tourist attractions in Dalat City as well as several other localities in Lam Dong Province.
