As of 5 October, 54 communes and wards across the province had launched plans to create flower spaces in preparation for the festival.
This year, Lam Dong is taking a different approach. Instead of concentrating flowers in central Da Lat, the festival space will extend to roads, residential areas, schools and public offices. The move aims to expand the festival beyond the city centre and bring the flower celebration closer to visitors.
The whole province has 54 communes and wards organizing activities to respond to the campaign "Everyone grows flowers, every household grows flowers, green trees to celebrate the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2026".
Several themes have been proposed for the flower spaces, including ‘Flower Shape’, ‘Season of Fresh Flowers and Sweet Fruits’, ‘Da Lat Flower Symphony’, ‘Funny’ and ‘Music and Flowers.
Plans have largely been drawn up for flower and ornamental-plant displays and exhibitions; conferences on science, technology and innovation; a Vegetable and Flower, Tea, Coffee and Wine Fair; costume performances featuring ethnic groups from the Central and Central Highlands regions; and the 2026 Vietnam Brocade Culture Festival.
