The program Vua Tieng Viet (King of Vietnamese) Season 3 will air every Friday at 8:30 pm on VTV3. The 45-minute show helps participants and viewers explore the richness and depth of the Vietnamese language through games, fun puzzles, interactions, and challenges.
Participants come from different professions, social positions, ages, nationalities, and regions such as Dien Bien, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau,... They all joined the game to become the “Vua Tiếng Việt” (King of Vietnamese). Anyone can become the winner because, in the realm of language, everyone is equal.
People's Artist Xuan Bac takes on the role of host of King of Vietnamese Season 3.
Vua Tieng Viet (King of Vietnamese) Season 3 sees changes to the rules. Specifically, the competition consists of 4 rounds, each featuring 4 players. Each round has a different theme.
- Round 1: 4 players, each with a set of questions and 90 seconds.
In turn, each player has 90 seconds to answer the questions in their set. Once they have answered a question, the correct answer is revealed. After this round, one player is eliminated, and the remaining 3 players move on to Round 2.
- Round 2: Three players, each with two words, and they have 60 seconds to explain each. The other two players can jump in to answer. A correct answer in the first 15 seconds is worth 4 points, with 1 point deducted for each additional 15 seconds. After this round, one player is eliminated, and the remaining two players move on to the next round.
- Round 3: Consisting of 2 players. There are 9 questions, which are 9 word chains, and each chain has 30 seconds to buzz in for the right to answer. After this round, 1 player is eliminated, and the remaining player advances to the final round.
- Round 4: Comprising 3 questions.
Question 1: 4x4 grid, 60 seconds.
Question 2: 5x5 grid, 75 seconds.
Question 3: 6x6 grid, 90 seconds.
If the player wins Round 4, he become king. However, to maintain their reign, the player must challenge the winners of the following episodes. The player who wins and retains the title for four onsecutive episodes will be eligible for a prize of up to 320 million VND.
