Kien Giang lose 500 ha of land due to coasting erosion
VTV.vn - In Kien Giang Province, coastal erosion is complicated due to climate change but there is no effective preventive solution, and the sea dyke is broken. In the past three years alone, Kien Giang lost 500 hectares, most of which is in An Bien - An Minh section.
In the face of severe landslides, Kien Giang Province has also been approved to use funds from the World Bank loan to build coastal protection works with a length of about 10 km, including Kim Quy-Tieu Dua. The project is in the preparation stage for implementation.
