Necta is recognized as the first company in Vietnam to research and produce Junbucha using microbiologically safe technology and a strictly controlled fermentation process. This ensures a consistently high-quality product while preserving the fresh flavors of natural ingredients.
Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Anh, Product Research and Development Specialist at Necta, shared: “Junbucha is a unique variation of Kombucha, with a distinct difference in ingredients and fermentation methods. While traditional Kombucha is typically brewed with black tea and sugar, Junbucha is fermented from green tea and pure honey. This change results in a smoother flavor with less of the sharp acidity found in vinegar, while still maintaining a high level of beneficial nutrients for health.

In addition to its four core ingredients - water, green tea, pure honey, and the Scoby culture, Necta also incorporates a variety of Vietnamese-grown flowers, fruits, and spices. This not only enhances the beverage's flavor complexity but also reinforces its health benefits. Currently, Junbucha is available in five flavors: mulberry ginger, salted apricot, original tea, kumquat jasmine, and mandarin coriander.

Additionally, the natural fermentation process in Junbucha produces beneficial compounds for digestive health, such as probiotics and enzymes. Notably, the use of green tea in Junbucha provides a rich source of EGCG - an antioxidant compound known for its role in cellular protection and its potential to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. The product is also formulated to maintain a low-calorie content about 20 – 50kcal/ 100ml, aligning with the growing consumer demand for health-conscious beverages.
Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Anh noted: “A key factor in preserving the quality of Junbucha is our decision not to pasteurize the product. While pasteurization can extend shelf life, it often comes at the cost of valuable nutrients. At Necta, we choose to retain the natural fermentation process to ensure that the enzymes and beneficial bacteria remain active, contributing to better digestion and enhanced immunity. However, to guarantee product safety and preserve its fresh flavor, Junbucha must be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 6°C.”
