Journalist Lai Van Sam recalls SV96
VTV.vn - Marking 20th anniversary of the very first TV program ever broadcasted on VTV3, journalist Lai Van Sam joins “Morning Coffee” to share his unforgettable moments with VTV3.

It is nearly impossible to talk about VTV3 without mentioning SV96. SV96 was the first TV program that aired on VTV3 and gained a huge success after that. This program was the playground for Vietnamese students to enrich their creativity, intelligence and enthusiasm. In retrospect, Mr. Lai Van Sam talked about the early day: “When we first launched VTV3 in 1996, our key audiences are adolescents. Specifically, we aimed at young students in order to evoke their youthful spirit and willingness”.

“I still remember when I once visited Vietnam National Academy of Music, I saw a small fundraising box encouraging each person to donate 2000VND to help gifted students for competition. Despite depressed economy at that time, their enthusiasm was ebullient” he added.

Talking about the previous SV96, SV2000, SV2012 and the upcoming SV 2016, Mr. Lai Van Sam emotionally shared: “ I have had lots of feelings when each season of SV passed. It is quite sad that when I conducted SV96 and SV2000, students called me ‘brother’, but in SV2012 and now SV2016, they all called me ‘uncle’”.
