On January 6th, Janet Jackson uploaded a video on her Twitter denying that the tour was called off due to her cancer, which she stated as rumors.
“Remember… believe it when you hear it from my lips,” a message reads at the end of the video. “The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer.”
According to Janet, the cancellation of the show resulted from her unstable health but she is in recovery: “I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled”.
“Thank you for your prayers and love.” closes the message. The cancer rumor appears when Janet released her statement about canceling the Unbreakable World Tour. "I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon," she wrote. "It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring."
Unbreakable is the debut world tour of the 49-year-old singer since 2011. “Unbreakable” tops the Billboard 200 Chart, which made Janet the third act to ever achieve No. 1 albums in each of the last for decades.
