VTV.vn - Searing heat in northern Vietnam is forecast to continue until July 13 while high temperatures will start to go down in the central region from July 15.

According to the national weather service, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will continue to experience intense heat today, with temperatures in the range of 35-37C or even higher in some areas.

On July 11, temperatures are expected to increase a bit up to 38C and above.

In the Red River Delta and regions south of the provinces of Son La and Hoa Binh, the mercury is forecast at a maximum of 35C for July 10 and 36C for July 11.

The extreme heat and low humidity pose risks of fires in residential areas due to the increased power demand, as well as risks of forest fires.

People are also warned to be cautious of dehydration, exhaustion, and stroke due to long exposure to high temperatures.
