According to local witnesses, they woke suddenly when they heard a large explosion occur around the Binh Hoa IP at 11pm on October 27.
The blaze raged in billows of flame and smoke in production area of the factory. Four fire engines were mobilized and arrived at the scene to battle the raging fire.
The workshop and its production machinery were totally destroyed by the fire as the company specializes in producing particularly flammable materials.
Some witnesses said the fire was likely due to an electrical fault, which caused several large explosions before the workshop erupted in flames.
Initial damages are estimated at billions of Vietnamese dongs. At present, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
