VTV.vn - The sixth meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assemblies of the three countries concluded yesterday (Aug 3rd).

From Tuesday to Friday, Representatives of the national assemblies of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam  discussed parliamentary cooperation for the triangle development area in the Lao capital of Vientiane. The conference also addressed issues related to climate change and how to sustainably exploit the Mekong River's resources.

Representatives applauded the increased cooperation among the 3 countries in socio-economic development, peace and security, while also touching on their shortcomings, which include the coordination between related sectors at the central and local levels, and funding sources for implementing development projects agreed on by the three sides.

The next meeting will take place in Vietnam in 2019.
