VTV.vn - Ethnic groups only account for 14% of Vietnam's population. However, the number of poor households within these groups makes up more than one-third of the total number of poor households nationwide.

In addition to supporting policies, preferential credit is emerging as a practical solution when it comes to reducing poverty sustainably. However, the procedure of issuing land-use certificates is still complex and the amount of labor in localities is low compared to the need for loans. These are the ongoing problems that were discussed at the Conference of The State Bank on credit policies for preferential groups in mountainous provinces in the North of Vietnam. In addition, Vietnam needs to manage the economic sector and the people's credit funds in order to contribute to Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
