VTV.vn - Within the framework of the first Tea Festival and Culture and Tourism Week of Tan Uyen District, in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau, which is taking place from April 12-14, farmers in Tan Uyen participated in a tea picking and making competition on the morning of April 13.

Tan Uyen is considered the capital of Lai Chau tea. This place has tea fields that are nearly 60 years old. Currently, Tan Uyen has nearly 3,400 hectares of tea.

From the early morning, large numbers of people and tourists gathered in the tea area of Phuc Khoa Commune, Tan Uyen District, to watch the tea picking and making competition.

Tea has brought income and stable livelihoods to nearly 7,000 people in Tan Uyen.

The competition jury checks and scores the tea picking competition right at the tea beds.

When being brought to the processing area, the jury continues to score the tea on picking standards.
