Thang Long II Industrial Park in Hung Yen Province is located near the extended Hanoi - Hung Yen intercity road.
On the construction site of the extended Hanoi-Hung Yen inter-provincial road, the Director of the Project Management Board of traffic and construction projects of Hung Yen province, Nguyen Ngoc Son introduced that this is a key traffic project of the province, and was honoured to have the Prime Minister attend the ground-breaking ceremony on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of the founding of the province, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee and the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of Hung Yen province.
This route has a total investment of more than 2.894 trillion VND, with a length of about 33.5 km, and a road surface width of 21m, designed according to plain grade II standards. The completed route will connect many roads within the province and connect Hung Yen province with the capital region, the northern key economic region, well serving the traffic and transportation needs, attracting investment in Van Giang, Van Lam, Khoai Chau, Yen My districts and My Hao town.

Nguyen Trong Tu, executive director of construction of part 1, the extended Hanoi-Hung Yen inter-provincial road project, belonging to Mekong Construction Investment Joint Stock Company said Hung Yen Province and the project investor The long inter-provincial road Hanoi-Hung Yen, has created very favourable conditions for contractors to carry out construction, especially the clearance and payment of construction volumes, so the contractors are making great efforts in construction and strive to complete about one year ahead of schedule, compared to the signed contract.
At the construction site of the side road and the road connecting the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway with the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway phase II, Deputy Director of Hung Yen Department of Transport Pham Van Khai, said this is the peak construction time, construction teams are mobilising maximum manpower, vehicles and machinery to accelerate construction progress, to soon put these roads into operation by 2023.
This is an important route connecting the transport system of Hung Yen province with Hanoi, big cities, economic centres, seaports, and airports; creating conditions for Ly Thuong Kiet urban-service industrial park, with an area of about 3000 hectares, with eight industrial parks, inland customs clearance ports, logistics services and ecological urban areas and housing for workers.

Deputy Director of Hung Yen Department of Transport, Pham Van Khai added that this year, Hung Yen will implement a project to build the Tan Phuc-Vong Phan route, with a total estimated investment of about 2.9 trillion VND. This route from Tan Phuc intersection, An Thi district of Hanoi - Hai Phong highway, will run straight to Vong Phan, Phu Cu District, forming an inter-regional route, connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong highway with Thai Binh and Nam Dinh provinces, creating a driving force to promote economic and social development, form industrial clusters, urban areas, service and tourism zones, in the districts of An Thi, Tien Lu and Phu Cu.
Director of the Project Management Board of Viglacera Yen My-Hung Yen Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, Nguyen Van Minh shared that Hung Yen's large investment in transport infrastructure development is good news for investors. Because this is an important factor to create a modern, highly connected transport network in the region and a national transport system to help circulate goods and travel smoothly; improve competitiveness, attract investment and facilitate socio-economic development.
Hung Yen, geographically adjacent to Hanoi, is located in the key economic region of the North. Hung Yen province has 17 industrial parks, with a total area of more than 4,395 hectares (of which eight industrial parks have been put into operation and are ready to receive investment projects); 26 industrial clusters have been established with a total area of 1,256 ha and a total investment capital of about 12.409 trillion VND are under construction.
Hung Yen Province has promoted administrative reform, improved investment environment, and competitiveness, associated with promoting digital transformation, which has brought many positive results. In 2021, the provincial competitiveness index increased by 14 places, ranking 39th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country; the PAPI governance and public administration efficiency index increased by 34 places, ranking 5th; the administrative procedure reform index PAR INDEX increased by 10 places, ranked 12th; the people's satisfaction index ranked 3rd; the digital transformation index rose 15 places to rank 34th.
Up to now, Hung Yen province has 2110 valid domestic and foreign investment projects, with a total registered capital of more than 257 trillion VND and 6 billion USD. The province has more than 14,500 enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 171 trillion VND.
To effectively exploit potentials and advantages, and continue to create momentum for socio-economic development, the 19th Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress, 2020-2025 tenure, determined that Hung Yen Province must focus all resources on infrastructure construction, with a focus on traffic; especially, traffic works playing a driving role. Concretising the resolution of the 19th Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee issued a Resolution on the transport development programme of Hung Yen province in the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030.
Hung Yen province has approved the Resolution to adjust and supplement the medium-term public investment capital plan, which is expected to allocate more than 22 trillion VND of provincial budget capital in the transport sector during the 2021-2025 period, which mobilises resources to build many roads that play a driving role, such as side roads connecting the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway, the inter-provincial road Hanoi - Hung Yen, Tan Phuc-Vong Phan route; roads on both sides of the Hanoi-Hai Phong highway, ring road 3.5, ring road 4, and heritage connection route along the Red River dike route from Van Giang to Hung Yen city.
These are important roads connecting the national transport system in the province, creating a breakthrough in the development of transport infrastructure, and improving the exploitation capacity of many roads, are the driving force to promote the development of industrial zones and clusters, urban areas and is the driving force for the socio-economic development industrialisation and modernisation in Hung Yen.
