According to the Department of Tourism in Thua Thien-Hue, tourist arrivals by sea in the first 6 months of 2016 reached 21,000 passengers, up nearly 11% compared to the same period in 2015.
Prior to this, the US’s Royal Caribbean Cruise ship company invested 310 billion VND (15 million USD) to upgrade terminal 1, expanding the port to welcome ships with capacity of up to 5,500 guests.
