In Hanoi, rainy weather has been forecasted in a number of provinces. Starting today, July 7th, the heat wave is expected to end in the northern mountainous region and rains are forecast to bring lower temperatures in the delta region.
Temperatures in the northern region will drop by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius, to approximately 30 degrees Celsius.
The heat wave has raised temperatures to above 40 degrees Celsius in northern and central provinces. The air has also been extremely hot and dry, creating issues in health and agricultural production and increased power consumption.
