It is famous for paint-throwing revellers showering each other with colour, representing a tradition that is both meant to reflect the rainbow of colours of springtime and the playfulness of the Hindu God Vishnu.
This year the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced that the festival will take place at Kinder Park in Hanoi on March 19 from eleven in the morning till three in the afternoon.
Tickets can be purchased at the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam located on the seventh floor of the ATS Building at 252 Hoang Quoc Viet in Hanoi.
The prices – which include coloured powder, food, drinks and music – are US$27.20 (VND600,000) for each adult and US$9.00 (VND200,000) per child.
