After four days at 23/9 Park, the 22nd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2026, themed "Exciting Summer," has concluded. The event attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors who purchased tours and experienced cultural and entertainment activities, contributing to stimulating domestic tourism and preparing for the 2026 summer travel season.
The festival space brought together approximately 130 booths from 19 provinces and cities, and 46 travel agencies, airlines, and tourism service providers. The booths were vividly designed, showcasing images of destinations, characteristic tourism products, and summer tourism programs, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.
A representative from Ben Thanh Tourist Company stated that during the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2026, the company showcased over 200 domestic and international tour programs, focusing on sustainable tourism, green tourism, and nature experience tours. In particular, tours to Northern Vietnam, such as Ha Giang, Sa Pa, Cao Bang , Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh, attracted significant interest and bookings from tourists this summer.
The current tourism trend is not just about sightseeing, but also about experiencing nature, local culture, and being responsible towards the environment and local communities. Therefore, businesses have developed many tourism products linked to environmental protection, reducing plastic waste, utilizing community-based tourism services, and eco-friendly accommodation.
Notably, this year's event is an important opportunity for businesses to directly connect with customers, grasp the trend of green tourism, and thereby develop products that meet market needs in the future.
According to a representative from TST Tourist, this year the company has launched a summer tourism stimulus program with many tours discounted by 10%, focusing on tours to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, and domestic beach and island tours. This year, customers are mainly choosing family tours, relaxation tours, and cultural experience tours, so the company has focused on developing high-end, short-duration tour products suitable for summer vacations.
According to tourism businesses, this year's tourism trends focus on short-day tours, experiential tourism, family tourism, and resort tourism. In addition, multi-destination tours between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities are also attracting much interest from tourists, especially tours to coastal and island areas, ecotourism, and community-based tourism.
Many promotional programs are available during the holiday season.
According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the coming period, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry will continue to implement many tourism stimulus programs, develop new products, and strengthen linkages with localities to attract tourists during the April 30th and May 1st holidays as well as the summer tourism season of 2026.
According to Mr. Binh, in the context of fluctuating input costs in the tourism industry, the proactive development of new products, cost optimization, and promotional programs by businesses have helped tourists have more travel options at affordable prices, contributing to stimulating the tourism market.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, Head of the Tourism Resource Development Planning Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, river tourism, especially evening river tours, is a tourism product that the city is focusing on developing in the coming time. Ms. Thao stated that river tours offering city views at night, combined with culinary experiences, art performances, cultural experiences, and visits to riverside destinations, are attracting the attention of tourists, especially international visitors.
In the coming period, the tourism industry will continue to coordinate with businesses to develop more new river tourism products, expand tourism routes, improve service quality, and develop night tourism programs to diversify the city's tourism products.

Agricultural products that meet quality standards were also showcased at this year's festival.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, said that in the near future, the Ho Chi Minh City Bread Festival will continue to be organized on a larger scale, expected to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists. According to Ms. Khanh, food festivals and cultural events are characteristic tourism products of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to promoting the destination's image, stimulating tourism demand, and increasing tourist spending, especially during major holidays.

Many traditional dishes are also introduced to tourists and locals.

The 2025 Tourism Festival also attracts foreign tourists to learn about and visit the area.
