Ho Chi Minh City praises examples of social contributions

Since 2014, the organisers have commended 45 collectives and 84 individuals who are responsible for their communities.

All those honoured on this occasion are engaged in lesser-known charitable activities and social work that is helping to improve the quality of life in the city.

The municipal People Committee urged the agencies and sectors to introduce appropriate mechanisms to encourage further examples of good people and good deeds.

On the occasion, HCMC Secretary Nguyen Van Nen presented the Labour Order, third class, as awarded by the President, to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the HCMC Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, Viet A Corporation, and Nguyen Hanh, Chairman of Imex Pan Pacific Group.

Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong awarded the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to four collectives and five individuals in the city for their achievements to the fight against Covid-19.
