The programme included three sections featuring the nation’s glorious revolutionary path from the August Revolution in 1945 to long-lasting years of resistance against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, the reunification period and the efforts to build a prosperous country.
More than 30 famous singers and artists participated in the programme, such as Hien Thuc, Quoc Dai, Vo Ha Tram, Ho Trung Dung, My Uyen, Huu Quoc, Dan Truong, and others.
The audience enjoyed well-known songs during the event, including ‘Duong len Tay Bac’ (Road to the Northwest), ‘Ho keo phao’ (Ballad of hauling up the artillery pieces), ‘Hanh quan xa’ (Long-distance march), ‘Chien thang Dien Bien’ (Dien Bien Victory), ‘Bai ca hy vong’ (Song of hope), ‘Con duong huyen thoai’ (Legendary Road), and so on.
Through the event, the organising board wished to spread a message that the Vietnamese young generation should never forget the heroic historical values of the nation and will join hands to build a more civilised, modern and prosperous city.
