The festival will be held in various venues, including President Ho Chi Minh Park, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Lam Son Park, the Ao Dai Museum, and QT4 Square, as well as historical and cultural sites and tourist attractions across the city.
The festival will attract the participation of more than 20 key opinion leaders (KOLs) in various fields like politics, economy, beauty queens, singers, actors, actresses, and travel bloggers, as well as 30 famous Ao Dai designers from many localities across the country.
The festival’s highlight will be an Ao Dai fashion show on the morning of March 8, gathering over 5,000 people from all walks of life on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
An art programme themed “Ao Dai – Colours of Ho Chi Minh City”, an Ao Dai exhibition and interaction space, an Ao Dai painting competition, a seminar, and a logo design contest marking the 10th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will also be organised at the event.
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Department, Le Truong Hien Hoa, said that the festival aims to honour the charm of Ao Dai while promoting the culture and tourism of Ho Chi Minh City to visitors at home and abroad.
