High tech needed to improve quality of Vietnam farming

According to scientists from 23 southern provinces who attended the event, the impact of climate change and the strict demands of the market are two of the major challenges for the agriculture sector of the Mekong Delta and the country.

In order to focus more on quality rather than quantity, localities need to encourage farmers to apply technology in production, and develop high tech agricultural zones to attract enterprises and farmers. Through these solutions, experts believe they can form a high quality product distribution chain together.
